Fortnite Battle Royale update 19.30 adds new gyroscopic controls! The game mode selection screen has been removed, you now go directly to the lounge when you launch the game.
NEW CONTROLLER OPTIONS: GYROSCOPIC AND FAST STICK MOVEMENT!
Following the collaboration with Julian Smart, known as Jibb, creator of the “flick stick” technique, Fortnite now offers gyroscopic controls on compatible platforms. They’ve integrated the flick stick in the form of rapid stick movement!
Gyroscopic controls allow you to turn the camera by moving the controller. The controls offer better accuracy than normal stick aiming, but do not replace it.
MODE SELECTION SCREEN REMOVED
With update 19.30 the game mode selection screen has been removed, where you could select Save the World, Battle Royale or Creative mode. Now you land directly in the living room, ready to join a group and start a game of Fortnite!
NOTES ON COMPETITIVE MODES
The armored wall has been removed from loot supplies in competitive game modes.
MAJOR BUG FIXES
“Fixed an issue that caused some players to have only two available tent slots instead of three.
Fixed an issue on mobile that prevented building pieces from being placed after double-tapping the associated symbol.
Fixed an issue (in competitive game modes) that caused Spider-Man’s web-throwers to drop from eliminated players with 20 available uses when the player had less than 20 at the time of elimination.”
